They stayed my house from 9th May to 11th in May 2008.
Her names are Grazyna, who is Math teacher and the leader of her group
Paulina, who is a student and so beautiful and cute.
They can speak English but not that well.
Grazyna can speak French and Paulina does Russian.
They are exotic guests I have ever had.
They flight 23hours from Poland to Korea. It must be them exhausted.
They had trouble on Korean food and tried to go into living room shoes on.
They hardly eat any food in Korean restaurants.
Cultural differences result in these kind of trouble..
I know that most foreigners’ guests have trouble on food when they travel abroad.
So I went shopping for groceries with Paulina in EMart.
And I let her choose the food she likes
I tried to prepare the food they like.
And Grazyna cooked Poland style cooked steak for themselves.
Their style is different from my style..
Poland style is to sprinkle salt on beef and cover with flour salted beef.
And fry them with a little amount of oil.
My younger son likes Poland steak.
Poland is known for the country that Chopin was born in.
I like Chopin’s music.
They gave Chopin’s CDs and cup saucers and guidebook that is introduced Warsaw to my family for gift.
And I gave Korean traditional ornament to them.
That ornament has Korean traditional instruments called Gayagum(가야금) Daegum(대금) on it.
They enjoyed shopping. and bought several items for their family.
Grazyna really wanted to buy Korean traditional alcohol for her husband.
I promised to bring her shop for buying it.
After they left I noticed that I forgot it.
Sorry about that, Grazyna.
Paulina sang well.
When we went to see the Music Fountain
The song ‘My heart will go on’ was coming at that time.
She song well that music. It was so impression to me.
Their staying was very short but we talked a lot about each country.
I can’t forget their smile..
In my apartment yard
we exchange gifts and pose with them.
They give us Chopin CDs,
cup saucers printed by Polandish and Warsaw guidebook.
We give ornament printed by Hanbok(Korean traditional costume)
and Korean instruments
with the whole guests and hosts in Goyang district hall
I show my blog and they introduce to me their school blog.
Grazyna is math teacher in high school.
Paulina is a student at the same school as Grazyna
we are watching my collection books
with another guests in the fountain
the colorful and dancing fountin accompany with music
In the music fountain
pose in the Lafesta after shopping
In the art gallary in Goyang city with another guests
We have lunch at home.
My family ate Korean food called Bibimbap
My guest ate tender loin steak.
They really missed Polish style cooked steak.
So Grazyna cooked it for herself.
My younger son likes Poland style steak than my style steak.
My son is hitting the rice dough with hammer
Making Korean traditional rice cake
She is hitting on the rice dough with wooden hammer.
in front of the Bell of Peace in Imjingak
looking over North Korea in Imjingak
my guests with my son and me
In the cactus farm in Goyang city
they are looking at my family album
Her names are Grazyna(on the left)
Paulina(on the right)
my guests are from Poland

Hello, I stumble upon your blog while looking for homestay in Korea. I am a mother of 3 children from singapore. How do I apply for homestay in Korea?
Hello, Sorry that I notice your comment late. Thank you for looking my blog. I'd like to explain about homestay. Korea has invited many students from other countries in order to introduce Korea. And My country asks me to have homestay. All guests that you see on my blog were invited by Korea government. So I haven't had any homestay as business. If you want to trip to Korea, hotel is better than homestay. But if you want to make Korean friends homestay would be a good experience for your family. My email is yoko6511@paran.com
