From Singapore : Khai and Kenneth
I had two guests from Singapore Aug. 13~15, 2007.
Their names are Khai and Kenneth.
They are so smart, polite, honest and handsome.
They are university students.
They know well about their country even Korean dramas and actors.
We talked a lot about each country.
I had a nice chance to know about Singapore's history, culture
economy, Singapore people living
.
Singapore is so small. It is 28km from north to south and 48km
from east and west.
There are not any shops selling gum. So streets are so clean.
Army service is compulsory like Korea.
Singapore men over 18 years old have to go to army.
Army training for 2 years is in 3 another country such as Taiwan.
Singapore is too small to train soldiers
.
I heard Singapore has a good social security system especially pension.
Singapore people have their named account that belongs to government.
All people can't withdraw until 65 old.
Students have many benefits.
Phone call fee is free within 100minutes, when they call in university.
And cost making name card is free, too.
How wonderful!
We went to the Korean Palace called Kyeong Bok Goong,
and see the movie named D-War. And we went shopping to E-Mart.
They are interested in seaweed (Korean named kim), and automatic umbrella.
I can't forget two Singapore guys.
Khai and my younger son
